Do any of you trim your own dogs nails or do you take them to the groomer?

What kind of clippers do you use if you do it yourself?

I use a dog dremel to sand down their nails.  You can order one from Home Depot.  It's called a 4.8-Volt Pet Nail Grooming Rotary Tool and costs $25.  It's got rave reviews.

I have three dogs, and it would cost me too much to get their nails professionally trimmed.  But they hated the clippers.  They are much more relaxed about getting their nails ground down.  Even so, one of my trio still really hates any kind of paw care (I also cut all the fur out from between their paw pads using the Wahl Peanut trimmer). My husband has to hold her while I grind down her nails. She's the one with intact dewclaws, too!

Hi.
I do my own dogs nails. I find some grow faster than others. Old Miya needs hers trimming quite often. I have a selection of sizes from Mikki. With concrete run area, that helps to..
